In the past two years I've been dealing with grain allergies. Bean threads, also known as long rice or glass noodles, can be a grain free noodle. Read the ingredients because lately some of them contain rice or corn. I find this item in the Asian food section of grocery stores where I live. They … Continue reading Grain Free Noodles

Fruita Freeze Dried Asian Pear Chips Not Bad
I got these in the chip section of a particular supermarket. When I opened the package and put my nose to it to smell it, it smelled like rancid oil for some reason. Only pears are on the ingredient list. In spite of that beginning, they weren't bad. Freeze-dried fruit seems to have a porous … Continue reading Fruita Freeze Dried Asian Pear Chips Not Bad
I didn’t like Aroy-D Thai Green Curry
I picked up this Thai green curry sauce at a grocery store. It was inexpensive. The ingredients seem clean; it was fresh, the coconut milk seems to be in good condition. I have no reason to believe it has hidden MSG or other chemicals. Thai food doesn't usually have those things anyway. Unfortunately, it mostly … Continue reading I didn’t like Aroy-D Thai Green Curry
Don’t Buy Safeway Signature Select Fat Free Refried Beans
They kind of smell and taste like Vienna Sausage. Otherwise, they were bland and several shades lighter than refried beans are supposed to be. Why is it so hard to find pre-made refried beans that taste good and have good ingredients? Bad ingredients include lard, canola oil, other bad oils, GMOs, chemicals and MSG in … Continue reading Don’t Buy Safeway Signature Select Fat Free Refried Beans
Don’t buy Safeway Organics Grilled Grass-Fed Steak Fajita Bowl
I bought this frozen grain free meal for when I needed it, which was today. I ended throwing it away and going hungry. It didn't look like the package. The meat didn't look grilled; it looked chewed up and spit out. You could see why they would spit it out as it was too tough … Continue reading Don’t buy Safeway Organics Grilled Grass-Fed Steak Fajita Bowl
Can’t stop me
from cooking, eating and enjoying my food, in spite of grain allergies. Inventing a new food: a sort of egg-bread made from eggs, and non-grain starch. Will write again with more details.

I found these Gabriella's Kitchen skinnypasta foods in the freezer of a large supermarket where I live. They are truly grain and gluten free, natural and vegetarian. Gabriella's is a Canadian company and I live in the US. It looks like they also sell their food by mail order. There are now grain free, gluten free options for ravioli and gnocchi.
Review: Cappello’s Grain Free Pepperoni Pizza
In the past year and a half I've been challenged by grain allergies. I looked for a grain-free pizza in the freezer at Whole Foods. One choice contained sorghum, amaranth and teff. I wondered if those ingredients would be too much like wheat, contain phytic acid or gluten-like compounds. Cappello's Grain Free Pepperoni Pizza contained … Continue reading Review: Cappello’s Grain Free Pepperoni Pizza
